Congratulations 2020 Jack Drago Cultural Arts Commission Youth Art Scholarship Finalist!
The Cultural Arts Commission was pleased to award the 2020 Jack Drago Cultural Arts Commission Youth Art Scholarship to Helen Wilborn of South San Francisco High School. She received a $2,000 award and was acknowledged at City Council and Cultural Arts Commission meetings. A virtual gallery page of her art work is posted online at

The Jack Drago Cultural Arts Commission Youth Art Scholarship was established for the purpose of providing eligible graduating seniors from the South San Francisco Unified School District continued education in the visual arts. The scholarship is financed exclusively by community donations.

SSF
Cultural Arts Commission and
the Childcare After School Recreation Program. Sixty-four ceramic tiles with whimsical images were carefully designed and painted by children in the program.

Let’s color South San Francisco! What brings you joy? What do you like to do for fun? What makes you laugh? Share with us via a drawing, painting, a collage or any form of art! Drawing our inspiration from the Alta Loma Park Playground Art installation “Joy, Laugh, Fun, Share”, we invite community members of all ages to our next Virtual Art activity to help spread some sunshine and happiness to our lives.
