March Youth Hero: Caleb Golden | |
|
With a new month comes a very new Youth Hero recipient. Parks and Recreation is excited to announce March’s Youth Hero, Caleb Golden.
Caleb is a sophomore at Babcock High School. He is an offensive lineman for the BHS Trailblazers Football Team and a track team member. With a strong passion for science, he aspires to pursue a career in medicine as a physician. Caleb has been an active member of Billy Bowlegs, the local Children of the American Revolution Society, for over five years. As the reorganizing president, he has led the society's growth and has mentored many members to become active on the state board.
| |
|
As an active member of C.A.R, Caleb honors veterans by placing flags at grave sites on Veterans Day and Memorial Day. He also participates in Wreaths Across America, assisting in placing wreaths on veterans' graves. Caleb takes pride in his collection of challenge coins from the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.) and Sons of the American Revolution (S.A.R.) chapters, where he has been honored to serve as a guest speaker.
In February, Caleb successfully hosted the Florida State Conference in Melbourne, Florida, with over 125 attendees. His efforts resulted in raising more than $6,000 for Wolfhounds Legacy. As his presidency continues through April, he remains committed to expanding awareness and support for his state project nationwide.
We are so proud of Caleb and all of his accomplishments!
