I am excited about gathering with our church family this Sunday to celebrate the anniversary of Parkview Baptist Church. For 68 years our church has been a gospel presence in our city and the surrounding areas. Countless lives have been changed by the faithful witness fo those who came before us. Our prayer is that we will continue to accomplish the work God has called us to in this generation. 

I hope you have planned to join us for this time of celebration. We will get a glimpse of what the church has done in the past year and be challenged in what we might do in the years to come. Our service schedule is the same, 9:30 and 11:00. Following the worship services we will have a catered meal and a time for fellowship. There will be water activities for the kids and Italian Ices for everyone. Brooklyn's Coffee Truck will be on campus throughout the day.

We will continue in our study of the gospel of Mark in a sermon titled, "The Other Half of the Gospel." We will see what our lives are supposed to look like when we dare to admit that "Jesus is the Christ."

Our Senior Adult Ministry holds covered-dish meals on the 4th Tuesday of every month. These are great opportunities to build friendships and we encourage you to invite guests. (And rumor has it our senior adults make some pretty amazing desserts!)

So, reach out to that person you haven't seen in church lately and invite them to lunch!
