I am thankful for the generosity of the Parkview church family. We continue to advance the gospel in our city and around the world through the resources God provides through His people. On Wednesday, November 6, we will take some time to share reports with our church family about our budget, our membership, and our plans for 2022. I hope you will plan on joining us for that time of celebration.
For the first time in a long time, our giving levels dropped below budget in September bringing our year-to-date offerings to .5% under budget. At the same time, our surplus operating cash took a hit from a major sanctuary A/C repair. It's all good. We are rebounding nicely and did not have to touch any reserves, but we may not have the surplus cash we have counted on in the past to accelerate our debt payments. In mid-November, we will set aside two Sundays to talk about generosity and gratitude. We will update you on a very special event that will take place during that time as soon as we have the details in place.
This Sunday, we will continue in our series on the Ten Commandments and talk about honoring marriage and the broader applications and implications of adultery in our churches and culture. So come to church. You can join us on campus at 9:30 or 11:00, or if you are still sheltered in place, you can gather with us virtually on Facebook Live or on our YouTube channel.
Don't forget to scroll down to see all of the updates and scheduled events at Parkview. If you have any questions, please call the church office at 386-752-0681 or email at office@pbclc.com.
Sincerely,
Pastor Mike

Why Life Groups? Because we believe small intimate groups of people doing life together is what the new testament church looked like. We are trying to live that out today in the 21st century and want to see everyone at Parkview connected to a Life Group. Visit our website or call the church office and we can help you get connected to the right class.

We encourage you to make church a part of your weekly routine and would love for you and your family to join us on Wednesday evenings.

Operation Christmas Child
|
|
Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is a project of Samaritan's Purse, an international relief organization. Their mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoe boxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Our OCC season starts this Sunday! Pick up a shoebox at the Welcome Desk or church office or build one online!

Journey Groups at Parkview
|
|
Journey Groups are small groups of six to eight people led by compassionate leaders trained by the non-profit organization Open Hearts Ministry. These groups provide a safe space where adult survivors of abuse can meet with others of similar circumstance and tell their story without fear of being judged.

Volunteer Spotlight: Emily Harris
|
|
"Some things that I love about Parkview are the sense of community, the leadership, the emphasis on the importance and authority of scripture, and how involved Parkview is in missions around the world."
Emily is originally from Lake City, Florida. She is married to our Worship Associate, David Harris, and they have been attending Parkview for about 2 ½ years. She is currently attending Baptist College of Florida online, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. She is employed with the Columbia County School Board. In her spare time, Emily enjoys spending time with friends, baking, playing the violin and piano, and reading. Her favorite books are the Harry Potter series, The Mark of the Lion series, Redeeming Love, Forgotten God, and The Pleasures of God.
On Wednesday evenings, Emily serves with our student ministry and helps lead a Life Group for high school girls. She also plays the violin in the Worship Ministry band. When asked why she serves, she said, "I serve in the church because I love being able to share the love of Jesus with the students."
