Update to Food Policy
Student health is important to us. Starting Monday, in order to maintain building cleanliness and health, we are going to ask that students not bring food, whether in the form of snacks brought from home or leftovers from lunch, with them to class. Students will still be served grab-and-go breakfast as well as lunch as usual.
Parkway Featured in the Press

St. Paul Pioneer Press | March 7

I have been volunteering at a St. Paul Public School site off and on for three-plus years. Sainted are the teachers, educational and teacher assistants, support staff, office staff, custodial staff, culinary crew, and administration at Parkway Middle School in St. Paul.

I am “Ms. Molly’s mom” and am greeted as such by most staff in the building. Many students greet me in the same manner. I look forward to my days in this school. When I am at Parkway, I feel the energy of the middle school students as they move through the halls or settle into classes.

Yes, there is both positive energy and restless energy that comes with this age group, but I am touched by the dedication and focus that the adults put forth as they get through a day guiding these young people.

Teaching middle school is tough stuff and not for the faint of heart, but what is even harder is being a middle schooler. The staff I watch and interact with provide positive relationships with the hope that the bonds formed can take these young people into their next educational and life adventures. Further, I watch staff acknowledge and promote individual successes for the students they serve.

Thank you, Parkway Middle, for your spirit and energy. I love hanging with you.
