December 24th: Christmas Eve Services (5pm, 7pm, 11pm)

December 25th: Christmas Day Online Devotional (10:30am)

January 1st: New Year’s Day, One Service (10:30am)

Mak’s Goodbye Sunday

This Sunday, December 18th, Mak will be preaching her final sermon on her last day here at Parkway UMC. She has been appointed to First UMC East Bernard as their Pastor beginning January 1st, 2023. To show our gratitude for her service over the last eight years to our church, we invite you to be in attendance and in celebration with her and her family. In between the two services (9am & 10:30am), and following the second service, there will be a time to fellowship over cake and punch. There will be a few activity gifts you can sign for Mak’s family to take with them, and a table will be available for any gifts or cards you wish to bring for them (any monetary gifts gifted to Mak’s family are not tax deductible).

There will be a slideshow playing during the reception times. If you would like to send any photos or videos that you have of Mak in her ministry at Parkway, please send them to Leslie Armentrout (chevyles@hotmail.com, (832) 622-8632) by Friday at 5pm.

We hope you can be present this Sunday to thank Mak for all she has done, show her and her family the love Parkway has for them, and bless them for their ministry to come at East Bernard.

Christmas Eve Services

We will be holding services at 5pm, 7pm, and 11pm. The 5pm service will be more family oriented, but children are welcome at all services. Our Worship Team has planned a wonderful set of music for these services, Kat Britton will be preaching, and the candles are ready for our candle lit singing of “Silent Night”. We hope to see you at one of the three services!

Christmas Day Devotional

Once every few years or so Christmas Day just happens to fall on a Sunday. We recognize that Christmas is often spent with family and therefore, we will not hold services at Parkway UMC this morning. We do invite you to tune in to our Facebook or YouTube at 10:30am on December 25th to join us in a devotional led by Kat Britton. We hope to (virtually) see you on Christmas morning!

New Year’s Day Service

On January 1st, Parkway will hold one service at 10:30am. Kat Britton will be preaching and Justin Mikulencak, the incoming pastor appointed to Parkway, will be present to meet you all! There will be a video going out on our Facebook page in the next week to introduce you to Justin, so stay tuned for that! January 1st will be an exciting Sunday, so we hope that you’ll be with us!

End of Year Giving

During this season of rushing to the best department store (or Amazon, if I’m being honest) in order to gather gifts for your loved ones, we ask that you remember Parkway UMC in this time. Parkway is only able to put forth the ministries that you see active and fruitful through your generous giving. If you would like to give in the 2022 year, here are the details you need to know about how and when we will be able to receive your gifts.

  • Checks mailed must be postmarked by 12/31
  • Church mailbox drop off (located in front of the Ministry Center) 12/22-12/31

A Message from Rev. Marlin Fenn

My time with you will be over at the end of this year.  It has been a joy working with you and our excellent staff.  God has blessed Parkway with wonderful talents, a committed spirit of service and a genuine love for each other.  I pray God’s continued blessings upon you, and upon our community through you.

We are very grateful for Marlin’s ministry work during this time at Parkway. He will be present at the 5pm and 7pm Christmas Eve services, so make sure to wish him a Merry Christmas and thank him for his interim ministry!

We hope to see you this Christmas season!
