Three out of four women behind bars are mothers, most of whom were the primary caretakers of their children prior to incarceration. Women, trans, and gender-expansive people continue to experience irreparable harm at the hands of the state, a state which criminalizes trauma and emphasizes punishment over reform.

The People's Campaign for Parole Justice is hosting their second annual Parole Justice is Gender Justice Advocacy Day! Join us on March 9th, starting at 9:30am via zoom, to meet with legislators and hold a press conference in support of the Elder Parole and Fair and Timely Parole bills.
