To my dear Members, Friends, and Mispallelim at the Young Israel Beth El Of Borough Park,
Once again, we are faced with the specter of a possible onslaught of the Pandemic known as Covid-19. This disease may not be taken lightly. Every life is precious and we must be vigilant in protecting all the members of our Young Israel community and those beyond our own circles.
Because of the rise in infections of late, new and stricter measures have been forced on our community. Our Shul of course will abide by those laws and restrictions for the benefit of all. These measures are not our choice, but we recognize that our obligation to abide by them is what Hashem wants from us at this time. Our Shul will be limited to TEN men at any one time. Unfortunately, this means that no women will Daven with us until these restrictions are lifted. Hopefully, the number of infected people will stabilize and even go down so that our precious Shul may once again open for Davening and all Shiurim.
Davening at home, when that is what is required, is the fulfillment of a Mitzvah. Many times in the past Klal Yisrael has faced challenges and has been forced to Daven without a Minyan. And yet we have emerged stronger and more spiritual than before. So too now we shall with Hashem's help overcome this challenge.
May we be blessed with a Good Shabbos
Your Devoted Rav, Moshe Snow
