Our Church doors were shuttered. We were all in lockdown. But remarkably, the Lord provided a means for us come to together and participate in our holy Liturgies via online live-streaming on Youtube.
The very first time St Antoninus went online was on Holy Thursday, April 9, 2020, the first day of our Easter Triduum. And praise God, we continue live-streaming our Masses to this day and hopefully as long as some of the parishioners are still unable to come physically to our Mass.

MAY 31, 2020: PENTECOST SUNDAY
We were still in lockdown in the church but many participated on live-streaming for our glorious celebration of Pentecost Sunday. Our celebration actually began on the Eve of Pentecost with a Spirit-filled Eucharistic Vigil, led by Ken Julien our music director.  In preparation for Pentecost, we had a 7 day “do-it-yourself” online LIFE IN THE SPIRIT SEMINAR with Renewal Ministries.

 SOLEMNITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI
After our Holy Mass in an empty church, Fr Joseph went with some of our altar servers on a “motorcade” Eucharistic procession in the streets of Newark to celebrate the Feast of the Body and Blood of Jesus.
BLESSING OUR NEIGHBORHOOD
HOLY BENEDICTION
From the start of the lockdown in April, Fr Joseph started a tradition of bringing the Blessed Sacrament outside the Church to bless the neighborhood after each Sunday and daily Mass. This has since become part of our St Antoninus liturgy.

Below, during a Tuesday night Mass on April 28, Fr Joseph went up to the rooftop for a panoramic Benediction blessing of the city of Newark.
