You are invited to participate in a Survey of
 Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
Practitioners and Professionals.
Over 10 years ago ATIA conducted a similar survey, focused primarily with SLPs, and the results were dramatic. The original survey of over 500 people highlighted unmet training needs for practitioners and led to increased advocacy around these needs to better serve everyone in the AAC community. We all know that the support of practitioners for people who use AAC is a critical element for successful use of AAC. Please feel free to download the original survey paper (ATIA AAC Survey)

Help Us Spread the Word
We are looking to broaden the scope of the original survey and invite a wider group to share their experiences with AAC. We want to know more about you and the efforts you make to get trained, how you keep up with the ever-changing technology and where you think things need to change to better support you and your clients.

Regardless of the age or population you work with, your input is highly valuable. AAC is supported by so many different people including Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs), Occupational Therapists (OTs,) teachers, Para-Professionals, caregivers, family members, and individuals using AAC, and we want to hear from all of you. We hope that this survey will gather information from the largest possible population that support people using AAC.

Please help us spread the word about this AAC Survey so we can truly help all understand the needs.

ATIA will be sharing the results of this survey publicly and it is our hope that others will use the results to continue to advocate for access to AAC for those that require it.

This survey will be open until Friday, October 25, 2019.
If you have any questions or comments outside of the survey please email us at [email protected]

ATIA thanks the many organizations that have supported the survey development and their members and supporters who share it.
