This special partner communication is dedicated to providing information regarding the fluid situation surrounding the coronavirus and its impact on Sonoma County's tourism and hospitality industries.
We recommend reading the California Department of Public Health Guidance for the Use of Face Coverings (effective June 15). It outlines guidance for individuals; businesses, venue operators or hosts; and exemptions to masks requirements.
Please note that employers must continue to follow:
Cal/OSHA will consider revisions to its ETS regulations at its June 17 board meeting. If during the meeting, Cal/OSHA elects to align its rules with the state’s guidelines for reopening (which is expected),Governor Newsom stated he will make an executive orderto immediately allow vaccinated workers to remove face coverings while unvaccinated workers continue to wear masks. Without the executive order, Cal/OSHA’s new rules would not go into effect until at least June 28.
Visit California is celebrating the state’s reopening tomorrow with a coordinated social media blitz at noon to share the good news. Activate your social channels with this reopeningsocial media toolkit. The kit contains photos, graphics, and templated posts. And then join hospitality businesses all around the state tomorrow at noon by applying the hashtag #AllDreamsWelcome.
Together we can spread the message that California (and Sonoma County in particular) is open for business! #SonomaCounty #LifeOpensUp
