The Center for Pregnancy Concerns (CPC) is a 42-year-old local, non-political, non-denominational Christian ministry of hope and life. Our mission is to protect the physical, emotional, and spiritual lives of women and their unborn children.
CPC operates three locations. Our headquarters, Options@328, is situated next to Planned Parenthood on Howard Street in downtown Baltimore. Here we offer a safe and welcoming space to serve women and families five days a week. Women can access free pregnancy testing, viability sonograms, abortion pill reversal, advocacy, resources, and information on all pregnancy options to help make informed choices. At times, some clients will choose abortion. When that happens, we let them know that we love them and encourage them to return anytime.
Once a woman chooses life, our material resource centers in North Baltimore and Essex provide free online classes to create healthy families. Additionally, new moms receive free baby supplies like diapers, formula, wipes, and clothing.
Since opening Options@328 in the fall of 2020, our client visits have increased by over 423%. We employ two registered nurses, three registered diagnostic medical sonographers, and a volunteer medical director who provides clinical oversight. We also have bilingual advocates who work with women who do not speak English as their primary language.
Our urban pregnancy center sees many marginalized women. They are migrants, unemployed, uninsured, living below the poverty line, homeless, addicted, or victims of trafficking, plus they are pregnant!
