Dear parents, families, students and community partners,

Local Districts have begun the process of distributing devices to get our students connected. Thanks to Mattel, Baby2Baby and Teamsters Local 572, we distributed donations of toys, diapers and wipes out to families in need through our Grab & Go Food Centers. Community organizations like Communities In Schools and InnerCity Struggle are constantly putting out new resources and creative ways to care for our school communities and youth. Sometimes in the most challenging times, we see just how connected we are and how much stronger we are together. I am proud to be a part of this community that cares so deeply about one another.

I want to take a second to acknowledge the uptick in hate crimes and discrimination against our Asian American communities amidst the global health crisis. We denounce acts of hate, discrimination and xenophobia of any kind and encourage people to become an ally to deter this type of behavior. You can report any coronavirus-related discrimination through the A3PCON form.

Now more than ever, it's time to come together and look out for one another. Check-in with your loved ones and neighbors, particularly those who may live alone.

Please see below for access to technological support, community resources and how you can get involved.
