JFS CEO Rachel Kornfeld and Chief Community Engagement Officer Beth Jabick recently joined more than 300 nonprofit partners, donors, elected officials, and community members at Fairfield County’s Community Foundation’s first-ever Celebration of Community.

This inspiring event recognized the individuals and ideas driving positive change across the region and highlighted the collective efforts that move Fairfield County forward. JFS was proud to celebrate the power of partnership and shared commitment to strengthening our communities.

In May, your support helped meet a growing need for reliable, nutritious food in our community. Together, we provided:

Each number represents individuals and families who were supported during difficult times.

We are grateful to our partners: Meals on Main St., The Friendly Fridge, Greenwich Country Day School, and our dedicated volunteers.

As the need continues, so does our commitment. Join us in filling the gap, every act of support matters. Contact Melissa Basile-Reolon to make a difference.

JFS Norwich has been awarded a generous grant from the Connecticut Department of Social Services to launch Opportunities Supporting Success (OSS).

In partnership with Rose City Learning Center, this new program will provide ESL classes, workforce development, and basic needs support to low-income individuals with limited English proficiency. Through OSS, we expect to serve more than 250 clients in the Norwich area, helping open doors to stability, employment, and a brighter future.

JFS clients recently visited the Yale University Art Gallery, where they connected through art, shared perspectives, and practiced communication in a supportive group setting. These experiences foster confidence, social connection, and a sense of belonging, key elements of our work.

At the New Canaan YMCA, messages like “Keep going” and “You are not alone” remind us that support is always within reach. Through the Bennett Center for Behavioral Health, JFS offers professional therapy services right at the Y, making it easier to access compassionate care when it matters most.

All major insurance plans accepted.

Please join us for a meaningful and empowering free group experience focused on coping with antisemitism - a rising concern in the media, on campuses, and in our communities that stirs anger, fuels anxiety, and leaves many feeling uncertain about how to respond.

Upcoming sessions: June 17, July 15, August 19, September 16

Time: 7-8:30pm | In-person meetings – location details will be shared upon registration.
