Empowering Education in Senegal: Project Safety Nets Joins Forces with New HOPE Greater Community Development | We are thrilled to announce an impactful collaboration between Project Safety Nets and New HOPE Greater Community Development, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering measurable improvements in education, health, economic development, crime prevention, family support, and financial literacy within communities. Dr. Kenneth W. Newman, Sr., the Education Director, leads this dynamic partnership, whose vision and dedication have significantly expanded Senegal's education initiatives. | At Project Safety Nets, our core values align seamlessly with New HOPE's mission, centered around three pillars: Education, Health/Wellness, and Economic Development. Together, we have provided essential educational resources to support three schools in Senegal, with Citi Rodeo School being the first in its region to receive this invaluable assistance. | Strengthening Social Capital - Recognition, Empowerment, Network Strengthening, Positive Impact, Aspiration...Not Just a Moment but a MOVEMENT |
Throughout the year 2023, our combined efforts have resulted in the distribution of thousands of dollars worth of crucial educational resources, including pens, pencils, folders, notebooks, bookbags, chalk, crayons, pencil sharpeners, markers, colored pencils, metric rulers, scissors, sanitizer, and more. These resources are empowering the young minds of Senegal, fostering a brighter future for all.
| | It is important to note that this remarkable effort is not driven solely by Dr. Kenneth Newman's dedication. The New HOPE Young Men of Purpose (YMP) mentoring program has played a pivotal role in the success of these initiatives. Under Dr. Newman's mentorship for the past six years, these young men have actively contributed to social causes, including compiling and assisting with the shipment of educational resources to Senegal. Their deep understanding of the mission's significance has ignited a passion to launch Young Men of Purpose Senegal 2023. They are eager to witness firsthand the impact of the educational initiatives and the expansion of YMP, a journey they consider a homecoming. | | This fall, the Young Men of Purpose Senegal program will be officially launched, designed to support young men from fifth grade through successfully completing the sixth-grade competency exam. The program will continue to guide and support participants throughout high school, nurturing them on their transformative path to manhood. | The Path to Manhood - "Knowledge is not just information. It's Transformation." | MEANING AND AIM - There is no limit to what we can accomplish TOGETHER | Together with New HOPE Greater Community Development, Project Safety Nets is making a tangible difference in the lives of young individuals in Senegal. By empowering them with quality education and mentoring programs, we are laying the foundation for a brighter future. We express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support, which enables us to create lasting and meaningful change in communities worldwide. | |
