Norway is a leader in the global transition towards an inclusive green economy , and is paving a path for nations to reduce climate change and pursue the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
PAGE is supported by Norway's International Climate and Forest Initiative (NICFI), which supports the United Nations Programme on Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (UN-REDD).
On 14-15 June, Norway hosted the Oslo REDD Exchange Conference 2016. About PAGE

T he Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) seeks to put sustainability at the heart of economic policy and practice.

The Partnership supports nations and regions in reframing economic policies and practices around sustainability to foster economic growth, create income and jobs, reduce poverty and inequality, and strengthen the ecological foundations of their economies.

PAGE is a direct response to the Rio+20 Declaration, The Future We Want, which called upon the United Nations System and the international community to provide assistance to interested countries in developing, adopting, and implementing green economy policies and strategies.

Bringing together the expertise of five UN agencies - UNEP, ILO, UNIDO, UNDP, and UNITAR - and working closely with national governments, PAGE offers a comprehensive and coordinated package of technical assistance and capacity building services.

PAGE represents a mechanism to coordinate UN action on green economy and to assist countries in achieving and monitoring the emerging Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 8.

PAGE launched the " Transition to a Green Economy in China's Jiangsu Province: A Stocktaking Report" in Nanjing. This report summarizes Jiangsu province's experiences and good practices in the transition to a green economy, and identifies challenges faced and priority development areas in the next five years. Based on these insights, the report provides suggestions for the next phase of PAGE support in the province.

Over fifty participants convened at the National PAGE Forum, a side event held at Sustainability Week which has, since 2012, gathered sustainability professionals in an innovative knowledge sharing event.
