Dear Iroquois Valley Investors & Stakeholders,
As we begin 2025, our team is working closely with our portfolio of farmers across the U.S. We want to ensure they have the support they need to continue their work as successful organic land stewards, given the federal funding freezes and grant program adjustments.
We remain steadfast in our commitment to providing organic, regenerative farmers with stable, long-term financing. Your investments in Iroquois Valley provide the long-term capital farmers need, now more than ever. Private sector donations are also important, and many great organizations support farmers directly, including Healing Soils Foundation, which provides grants directly to organic and regenerative farmers across the Midwest.
Before we put 2024 to pasture, we wanted to share a final wrap-up of our fourth-quarter gains. In Q4 we strengthened our partnership with three current Iroquois Valley farmers by closing new investments to support their expanding operations. Our fundraising efforts also wrapped up on a high note, reaching $15.4 million by year-end with 122 new investments and 78 new investor relationships.
Curious about what’s next? Check out our latest press release, where we showcase our banner year in 2024 and dive into our first investment of 2025 — an expansion of our partnership with fourth-generation farmer Rex Wettstein. On this new 200-acre property in Wolford County, IL. Rex will grow organic corn, soy and wheat, as well as oversee two wind turbines, highlighting an exciting move towards more green energy investment in our portfolio.
