Saying that partnerships are important in our industry may sound trite, but they truly are integral to our success. No matter your role in tourism, forging partnerships and being a team player are absolute imperatives. Having the mindset that “it takes a village” serves the Travel South region well and is instrumental in moving the needle closer to our goal of $10 billion in international spend. To accomplish this goal, we need partnerships at all levels.
Tourism Exchange USA is a new partnership on the horizon. This innovative technology levels the playing field through connectivity providing authentic experiences to visitors like never before. To ensure success and alleviate concern, great efforts are being made to ensure that every partner is well versed and well prepared to participate. DMO and supplier webinars are already planned, so please reach out to your state tourism offices for more details.
International Showcase 2024 is yet another vital partnership opportunity. This December 3-7, we will gather in Memphis to sell the South to the world. This unique event provides a venue where pre-qualified operators are solely discussing the South for four days, guaranteeing an undeniable ROI. Evidently, we are not the only ones excited about International Showcase this year as there are 130 operators who are registered to date.
Lastly, partner with Travel South USA to push our region’s content 365 days a year. Rich, enticing content for publications such as the International Planner and monthly newsletters are key to informing consumers and journalists. Our global social channels garnered almost 70 million impressions and had an engagement of 1.7 million. To grow these numbers even more, please tag us in all your social media endeavors.
