After undergoing an $850,000 renovation over the past two years, a Grand Re-Opening for Eaton Preserve is set for 3 p.m., June 24 at the preserve, which is located at 23604 W. 135th St., in Plainfield.

Movies in the Park

Movies in the Park are back! Bring a chair, blanket, some snacks and do not forget the family for a night out under the stars. Movies start at dusk (approximately 8:30 p.m.) at Settlers' Park. No registration is necessary for the following FREE flicks:

Board Commissioner Opening

The Plainfield Park District is accepting applications to fill a board vacancy. The term will expire in April 2023. Information packets with instructions to apply are available for pick-up from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Recreation Administration Center, 23729 W. Ottawa Street in Plainfield. Application items must be returned to the Recreation Administration Center by noon on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 in a sealed envelope addressed to Park Board President William Thoman. This dual membership gives participants access to Ottawa Street Pool AND the fitness center, track and gymnasium at the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center (PARC)!
