Free AARP Tax-Aide

The AARP Foundation will be offering their annual FREE Tax-Aide services in the Central Library's meeting room at 1201 Jeff Ginn Memorial Dr.

African Americans and Texas' First Pro Football Teams

The new American Football League, as well as the NFL, placed pro football franchises in Houston and Dallas in 1960. This would mark the first time that top African American football players from other parts of the country would live in officially segregated cities in the south, rather than just visit for an exhibition game.

She will discuss the difference between savings and investing, the rule of 72 and compound interest, and the three types of fundamental accounts.
