Passage of legacy is an artistic exploration that bridges the gap between tradition and modernity. This show delves into the evolution of cultural heritage in today's globalized society, where identities are fluid and interconnected. Through innovative techniques and mediums, each artwork in this show reinterprets traditional motifs and narratives, offering a fresh perspective on age-old themes including work using 2D plaster and 3D ceramics. These materials, both of the earth, transcend their normal statis and evoke a recording of a unique process inherent to the artists’ experiences and environment. 

This collection is physical and texturally visual, yet inclusive. We invite viewers to contemplate how heritage can be redefined and celebrated in the context of our contemporary world, fostering dialogue about cultural continuity and adaptation.

The theme of this juried show broadly concerns the human figure. This “figuration” can literally portray the human form, in any size, shape, sex or situation to the essence or abstraction of the figure. 

The juror will be seeking humanity in the “human form”. This can be represented in a wide range media: drawing, mixed media, printmaking, collage or sculpture. As depicted over centuries, the gamut of emotion, expressivity, individualism and physicality to be found in the figure is endless. What is out there in contemporary figuration now? What messages and stories through depictions exploring the human form are relevant, fresh, timeless ,surprising and challenging today?
