As those of you who receive the town's monthly newsletter already know, we sadly experienced the loss of several town residents over the last six weeks. On June 28, town resident Melissa Hollis was found deceased in her home. Then, on July 10, resident John Grace, who could sometimes be seen picking up trash in town, was killed outside of town in a pedestrian vehicle crash. Last, on Sunday, July 26, Bobbie Frank passed away at Westminster. Prior to moving to Westminster, Bobbie was a long-time town resident, having served, among other positions, on the town council, as the town's Craft Show Director during what some might characterize as its heyday, and as a long-time board member and generous supporter of the Occoquan Historical Society. She was also a dear friend. Information was not readily available on services for these individuals. It is believed that Bobbie Frank will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery in a private ceremony and that there will be a later celebration of life. In the meantime, please keep the family and friends of these individuals in your thoughts and prayers. |
