Dear Fellows,

The College is saddened to share the news that Class 1 Fellow, Gerald Smith, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025. Susan Freeman, a colleague and friend to Jerry, shared the following obituary which cites his "immeasurable contributions to the development of bankruptcy law, where he tirelessly promoted excellence, integrity, and professionalism."
