Jim Hediger

James Donald Hediger passed away peacefully on February 9, 2024.

If you have ever opened a copy of Kalmbach's Model Railroader Magazine, or watched any of their "How To" videos, you know Jim Hediger. 43 years of writing for Kalmbach established him as an pillar in the hobby. He inspired all of us by teaching the basic skills of model railroading. A kind and thoughtful man that rarely had a bad word to say about anything - except perhaps when referring to "Lurch," the Kalmbach elevator. We have lost a leader in the hobby.

A Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Harder Funeral Home, 18700 West Capitol Drive Brookfield, Wisconsin, with the visitation beginning at 4 PM until the time of Service at 6 PM. Please read his full obituary that is linked below.
