Passport Event Cancelled

Lake County has notified us they would like to postpone the passport event scheduled on August 21 due to Covid. Because of the transmission numbers, they feel large in person public gatherings are not in the best interest of their staff or the public. Vernon Township does have appointment times about a week out. Please call them at 847 634-4600 if you need to apply for a passport. If you have forwarded the information about the passport event, please let your friends know the event has been cancelled.

Grand Dominion Car Show- Sunday, August 15

We are excited the Grand Dominion Car Show is back. Come on out on Sunday, August 15 from 11 am til 3 pm. Free admission and all proceeds from the raffles support the Fremont Township Food Pantry. Hope to see you there.

Your Donations Go To Local Rescues

The local animal shelters are in need of sheets, towels, small throw rugs and blankets. There is a bin on our front porch at 22385 Route 60, Mundelein, if you have any old bedding you would like to donate. No pillows! The donations get distributed to local shelters. We also accept leashes, collars, toys, pet food etc.

Recycle Items at Fremont Township

We accept yarn in our office. We accept eyeglasses and hearing aids in our office. We accept American Flags in our office. Our shoe bin is also on our front porch and we are accepting shoes to be recycled and reused. We recycled 1547 pounds of shoes last year. The textile bin is also open and is located in our parking lot. Click here to see what we accept.

Recycle-o-rama Saturday, September 18 from 9 til noon. More information to come!! Wednesday, September 15 from 10:00 am –1 pm Audibel Hearing Aid Center is offering a Free Hearing Screening and Otoscope Exam Event at lower level of the Fremont Township Administrative Building. To make your reservation, call Angie at 847 362-7500. The AARP Defensive Driving Course is full. The Secretary of State Rules of the Road Review Course is scheduled October 20 from 10 am til noon. It is designed to give drivers – especially senior citizens and persons with disabilities – the knowledge and confidence needed to renew or obtain a driver’s license. The review course combines an explanation of the driving exam with a practice written exam. Call Nancy at 847 223-2847 to register. It is free.
