Are you getting Passport funding? Help us improve the Passport program!

The Passport program has a new survey for recipients to share their feedback.

The 15-minute survey will collect information about your overall experience with the program to help improve Passport for everyone. You can have someone (e.g., a caregiver) help you complete this survey if you need support.

NOTE: This survey is for people who are receiving Passport funding. If you manage funds on behalf of a Passport recipient, a separate survey for you will be available in the near future—stay tuned for details!

The Passport program claim deadline is coming!

Starting on March 31, 2027, you’ll have 12 months after each fiscal year ends to send in your eligible claims. This new rule applies to anything you buy on or after April 1, 2026.

This means you have until March 31, 2027 to send in all claims for this fiscal year (2025-2026) and all past fiscal years. If you have receipts for admissible items from past years and money left in your budget from those years, now is the time to send them in for reimbursement.

Learn more about the new claim deadline and submitting past claims at passportfunding.ca/filing-claims.

MyDirectPlan has a new feature to support mileage claims

If you use MyDirectPlan to submit your Passport funding claims to PassportONE, you can now access a new feature on the platform to support your mileage claims.

The MyDirectPlan Logbook should make tracking your mileage for Passport admissible activities easier. It follows the Passport program guidelines and helps you keep a clear mileage record for reimbursement and audits.

This new feature is available on both the MyDirectPlan web and mobile apps for easy access. The Mileage Logbook can be used by Passport recipients, PMFs, support workers, brokers, service agencies, and staff tracking mileage for a client.

Having trouble reaching your Passport coordinator?

Passport agencies respond to inquiries by phone and email. You can find your agency’s contact details using “Find your Passport agency” on the website or email them directly from the site by filling out the Contact Us form.

There are 11 agencies across the province that are responsible for all Passport program recipients. Each Passport coordinator responds to important questions from hundreds of recipients! Your coordinator works as diligently as possible to get back to you in a timely manner, but responses could take several business days depending on the volume of inquiries.

Passport program Myth Busters: Dispelling rumours and bringing clarity, one fact at a time...

MYTH: You can or will get a one-time payout of your Passport funds deposited into your bank account.

FACT: Passport funding is distributed through reimbursements

Your Passport funding amount is not a one-time payout. For example, if you are eligible for $5,500, that amount will not be deposited into your account. The Passport program is a reimbursement program – you first make an eligible purchase, submit a claim, and PassportONE will pay you back from your available funding amount.

If you are unable to make eligible purchases due to financial hardship, please contact your local Passport agency for support.

Hello. My name is Mohammed. This is the first year I have benefited from Passport financing. My life has changed.

Thanks to this financing, my parents helped me buy what I needed, such as a television, and pay my phone and internet bills, as well as go to the park and the swimming pool. Thank you for your support and interest for [in] us.

A client of ours (Matthias) has successfully achieved his DZ license through a company called Drivewise. They worked with us and his family to accommodate him, and Passport funds paid for it. He is so happy and is now going for his AZ license with the help of Passport funds. Here he is!

—Cathy, Catulpa Community Support Services, Barrie, ON

Matthias is now inspired to do his full AZ. This will not be as much work for him because he already has his Z (air brake) license and the schedule one is fresh in his mind. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your help in helping Matthias achieve this great achievement! Matthias and I thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!!!

—Julie (Matthias’ Mom)

Congratulations, Matthias!🎉🎊👏We’re rooting for you!💯
