Pastor Angel is getting ordained!

On Thursday, June 15, the Clergy Session of the California-Nevada Annual Conference voted that Pastor Angel Rivero should be ordained an elder in full connection! That was the final step in this years long process. He will be one of seven ordained as elders.

The Service for the Ordering of Ministry will take place on Saturday, June 17, at 7:00 p.m. at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center (1401 K St., Sacramento, California, 95814) with Interim Bishop Sally Dyck as its presider and preacher. This service is open to the general public and will also be available online via the Conference's YouTube page (link below).

While this service embodies the full "bells and whistles" that United Methodist liturgy can provide, we will be led in worship by The Many, a progressive and contemporary Christian worship group based in Chicago. In this service, we recognize our common call among the baptized and celebrate the set-apart ministry of those being commissioned and ordained.

Celebrating this milestone in ministry, Pastor Angel is asking that gifts be made to the Marina United Methodist Church.
