Pastor Connection

John 10:22-30

Jesus Is Rejected by the Jews

At that time the festival of the Dedication took place in Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the portico of Solomon. So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.”  Jesus answered, “I have told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name testify to me; but you do not believe, because you do not belong to my sheep. My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand. What my Father has given me is greater than all else, and no one can snatch it out of the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.”

Reminder: Worship Service Time Change

Throughout the summer, the Worship Service will be starting at 11:00 am. This will be the starting time for services as we share Pastors with the other Cedar Valley Presbyterian Churches. Adult Forum Coffee Hour will begin at 10:00 am during this period of change.

Thank you for your understanding and accommodations as we adjust the schedule for the summer.

One Great Hour of Sharing

Thanks to the generosity of this congregation, $2,458.00 was raised for the One Great Hour of Sharing offering.

This offering provides relief from natural disasters, food for the hungry, and support for the poor and oppressed.

Your gifts to One Great Hour of Sharing allow for an immediate response from Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) when emergencies first occur, often responding to crises that never make it into the news.

Presbyterian Women Birthday Offering

Dear Rebekah Circle and Associate Members,

This year the Presbyterian Women's Birthday Offering celebrates a century of generous giving. Over the last 100 years, grants funded by PW have improved the lives of women and children in the United States and around the world. In 1922, funds were donated to Miss Dowd's School for Girls in Kochi, Japan. Throughout the decades, the Birthday Offering has continued to provide a message of hope to countless people.

Please give as you have been blessed and as led by the Holy Spirit. You may bring your offering to the Rebekah Circle meeting on Wed, May 18, or send it to the church office attention: PW. Checks are payable to PWC.
