Ecclesiastes 3:1,14

"1 For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven... 14 I know that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it; God has done this, so that all should stand in awe before Him."
This Sunday: Church Brunch and

Session is having conversations about the church's future and are asking for your input and direction. We are having a congregational gathering on Sunday, August 15, right after worship in the Fellowship Hall. Session will provide brunch. No RSVP is needed. This will be an important time and we hope that all church members can attend and participate.

Staffing Opportunities

First Presbyterian Church is seeking a part-time choir director to lead the Sanctuary Choir each week and a part-time organist/pianist to accompany the choir and play each week during the worship service. If you or someone you know is interested in the positions, please contact Rev. Amy Wiles for more information about the positions and application process.
Moving to Live Streaming Worship

Our church plans to live stream our worship services beginning mid-September. Equipment will be installed in the coming months as we prepare for this change. With that in mind, our last pre-recorded worship service aired on August 1. We will take a break for several weeks from online worship. During that time, we hope you consider attending our in-person worship service. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We will be sure to send out instructions about live streaming in September. Previously recorded church services continue to be available on the Vimeo website, located here:

Irish Fest Parking Fundraiser

Thanks to all who helped with the parking lot fundraiser last weekend during Irish Fest. It was hot! We heard lots of cool Irish music and collected $1537. The money was evenly divided between the Building & Grounds committee and the bell choir. We charged $10 per car, so you may ask how we collected an uneven $7. We received a $5 contribution from a passerby, and two $1 tips were given. Tips are always appreciated! The music seemed to bounce off the KWWL building so it was like sitting in front of the band. THANK YOU! -Building & Grounds and Bell Choir
Neighborhood Night Out

Thank you to all those who helped with and attended the Walnut Neighborhood Night Out! We enjoyed wonderful food, fellowship and talent! We look forward to next year's gathering!

Back to School Drive

In consultation with Cunningham School, our Partner in Education, one of the biggest needs for families at the beginning of school is providing appropriate, school approved clothing for their children. This year instead of a school supply drive, we will be collecting funds for student clothing at Cunningham. You may contribute to this fund by sending a check or money to the church office. Please indicate that it is for school clothing. If you have already purchased school supplies in anticipation of a school supply drive, don't worry. Bring to the church and we will contribute those also. Thank you for your generosity and your concern for the children of our community.
