What a great day we shared last Sunday! It was so special to have so many people who served as clergy and staff of Trinity over the past 60 years here for a Spirit-filled celebration. And what a wonderful message from Rev. Dan Johnson...just right for the occasion. Welcome home, Dan and Jan! If by chance you were not able to be with us last weekend, you can watch the service here.
This week, we will set our eyes and our hearts on the future. I'm excited to tell you that Beth Haines, Brian Myers, and Erica Penley will be joining me in offering the message this weekend. We'll share in a conversation about Trinity's recently adopted vision and goals. I'm grateful that these three members of the vision team have accepted my invitation to participate this week. You'll be glad they did, too, when you hear what they have to share about what excites them as we look toward Trinity's future.
This will be our last Sunday on the summer schedule. Beginning September 1, we will move to our new schedule for the fall: 8:15 (traditional) in the chapel followed by 9:30 (modern) and 11:00 (traditional) in the worship center.
On another note, did you know that our youth ministry is rapidly growing and has a huge kickoff event planned for this weekend? If you have a middle or high school student in your family, this is where they need to be on Sunday nights from 5:30 to 7:30!
