I can't think of a more effective way to fire me up for Trinity than the amazing Celebrate 60 experience of the last few Sundays. It's a privilege to be a part of a community that can look back, learn, and celebrate its history while also looking ahead and committing to step into the future as courageous witnesses for Christ. I am grateful. And excited.
And speaking of looking ahead: next Sunday, September 8, will begin a three-week experience that we invite everyone to be a part of. The Jesus Challenge is a commitment to daily devotion for 21 days and will connect with our Sunday worship experiences over those weeks. We'll take this time to explore God's often intimidating call on our lives to love God and neighbor, and I believe this can be a transformative experience for you as an individual and for us as Trinity. I hope you will join us.
The books are available at the Trinity Bookstore in the Atrium for $10, and there are small group opportunities, too. If you're interested in connecting with one of these groups, please reach out to
Kim Lewerenz (352.416.3074) to get connected with one.
I continue to be grateful for the ways each of you have welcomed me in my first few months here and look forward to many, many more to come in partnership for the Gospel. You are in my prayers, and I hope to see you soon.
