Worship: Sundays @ 8:15, 9:40, 11:00 am | Wednesdays @ 6:35 pm
Dear Friends,

What a weekend! I'm so grateful for all the people who were On Mission Together last Saturday as we blanketed Gainesville with action that showed our love for our community. Nearly 200 of you were the hands and feet of Jesus as you:
  • Helped build Habitat homes for two families who are very excited to move in this summer
  • Built picnic tables and a cornhole game at Faith Mission, continuing to enhance the grounds and facilities as a welcoming place for the neighborhood
  • Sorted thousands of pounds of food from the recent Postal Food Drive that will serve children in our community through the Food4Kids program
  • Cleaned and organized some supply closets with some very appreciative teachers at Rawlings Elementary School
  • Restored the usability of a playground area for special needs preschoolers at Talbot Elementary School and helped trim hedges other areas of the grounds
  • Packed over 30,000 meals that will be sent to Honduras through a program that feeds hungry children there
WOW! Thank you! If you missed out on this opportunity, don't worry. We are already starting to talk about the next one.

Also, wasn't Sunday terrific? The joy and the energy in the room was evident as we all worshipped together. What a privilege to celebrate Jan Banks' ministry with Stepping Stones as a part of the worship service and bless her with our prayers and best wishes as she enters retirement. Food trucks and lunch on the lawn provided an opportunity for people to enjoy the beauty of the day, share conversations with each other, and let kids run and play.

I look forward to seeing you this Sunday as we look at another great story from the New Testament book of Acts. Then next Sunday, June 2, we will celebrate our awesome class of graduating seniors. Remember...that day we shift to a summer worship schedule of two Sunday services (9:30 and 11:00).

As the school year comes to an end, I pray that summer will be a time for all of us to breathe deep the love of God and refresh our spirits.

Grace and Peace,

Steve
