Worship: Sundays @ 8:15, 9:40, 11:00 am | Wednesdays @ 6:35 pm
This weekend is Children's Sunday! It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Trinity's ministries with children and families, and our children will lead in worship at the 9:40am service. Our ministry with children will also be the focus of the Mission Box for the weekend, providing financial support for this summer's VBS experience that will welcome approximately 300 children to the Trinity campus.
Catherine and I will miss being with you on Sunday. We are on our way today to a weekend of celebrating graduations with both our son Sid and his fiancée. This past week, we were having a conversation with him, sharing how blessed we are that he has turned out to be such a remarkable young man. We asked him what he thought were some of the important influences on who he has become. Besides family, the #1 factor he mentioned was his church community and specifically the impact of children and youth ministries when he was growing up.
Having that kind of community where children can learn and grow as followers of Jesus and can form lasting friendships with other kids on the journey of faith matters so much. The impact lasts far beyond their childhood years. I am so grateful for the team of staff and volunteer servants who invest time in making this impact through Sunday School, K5 worship, CHEERS, Rejoice!, CrossTrainers, Upward Sports, SummerTime Fun, Vacation Bible School, and more.
The team is always looking for people who want to join them in loving and serving kids through these ministries. Could Jesus be calling you to make a difference in the lives of the children? Our Director, Elizabeth Jones , would love to hear from you. Even if you don't know exactly how you can serve or how much time you have, I can guarantee that she will work with you to find a place that is just the right fit.
Have a great weekend and we'll see you on May 18 and 19 for our On Mission Together weekend. If you're not signed up yet for one of the Saturday mission experiences serving our community, go here!
Grace and Peace,
