Happy Thanksgiving! I hope and pray that as you receive this Pastor's Message, you will know how grateful I am to be one of your pastors and for the multitude of ways that you, the people of Trinity UMC, bless my life with your passion for Christ and the ways that you uniquely reflect God's love and unfailing grace.
Today, as many of us gather with family and friends around a table to share a holiday meal together, we can do so giving thanks that 1,200 other families around Gainesville will be able to do the same because of your desire to bless them with your donations and contributions. Thank you for being so generous and faithfully continuing to respond to God's call!
For those of you who will be in town, I hope that you will join us Sunday. Continuing in the theme that Steve began last week on the sacraments, I will be preaching about baptism. As we explore the history of this ancient and sacred ritual, my hope is that you will be inspired to not only remember your baptism as "More Than a Bath," but a reason to give continual thanks, not only this Sunday, but in the busy days that lie ahead and beyond. Hope to see you in worship!
