It's turkey time! I know it's hard to believe (especially when it's 85 degrees outside), but we have almost reached the time when we will share Thanksgiving baskets with more than 1200 families in our community. And you know what that means...bring in your turkeys!!!
If you were in worship last Sunday, you got an awesome new Trinity grocery bag. Take it to the store this week and fill it with a turkey (or two!). Bring it back to the Trinity kitchen this weekend (or no later than November 14) and keep the bag to use for your weekly grocery shopping over the coming year.
Here are four final ways you can help Trinity be ready for this year's distribution of Thanksgiving Baskets:
Provide $10 Publix gift cards for the baskets. Gift cards can be brought with you to worship on Sunday or dropped off at the church office anytime before end of day on November 14.
Making a donation that will help purchase any grocery items needed beyond what has been collected. To make a donation now, go here and choose "Thanksgiving Baskets".
Join us next Wednesday, November 14, for dinner and then stay and help sort food items. We'll be finished by 6:30pm so that you can then go next door and enjoy our children's musical presentation offered by Rejoice!
Pray! Be praying for the families who will receive these baskets. We will do this together as a congregation on Sunday, November 18, just a few hours before families begin arriving to pick them up.
Thank you for being such a generous congregation. You have blessed the lives of so many through your kindness and compassion.
