Funds Collected for Disaster Relief Following Hurricane Ian
In the wake of the destruction in southwest Florida from Hurricane Ian on September 28th, Bishop Parkes requested that all parishes in the Diocese of St. Petersburg hold a special collection during one weekend in October for the purpose of disaster relief. As of last Wednesday, November 9th, the generous response from parishioners and Catholic school students throughout the Diocese totaled $354,017.38. From these funds, relief will be provided to parishes, schools, and communities that were hardest hit in the Diocese of Venice. For those of you who were able to assist in this effort, either financially or by your prayers, thank you for your support!
