Experts estimate that with each of these categories of products rising in cost by 5% to 25% or more, remodeling projects will skyrocket in price. The cost of a kitchen remodel can increase by $2,000–$5,000 or more due to these tariff-driven product hikes.

The bottom line is that tariffs aren't going to make anything less expensive in the short term. This will ultimately increase the cost of new construction and the real estate market as a whole.

MARKET NOTES

The Spring market is very hot in Northeast Ohio. My team and I are often showing multiple homes per day as we prepare almost 10 homes to come to market in the coming weeks. This is truly the busiest time in real estate and this year has thus far proved to taken this to a higher level. I'm thankful to work with so many fantastic clients!

On the buyer side, what's working for me is really getting a sense of what the seller and the listing agent are looking for. When I can learn the ultimate goal the seller is looking to achieve and their reasoning behind the potential sale, my buyer will have the ammunition to write the strongest possible offer. Winning buyers don't always have the highest number, and finding the driving factors is the key to winning today.

For sellers, open houses have been vital in creating urgency to get strong offers in a timely manner. I had two opens over the weekend with well over 30 guests. Not only was the home showcased in the best possible light, but buyers can see their competition and how many eyes really are looking at a home. This leads to quick offers and often above the asking price.
