Bright Futures and the Path to a College Degree

We're shining a spotlight on two extraordinary 2024 Park City High School graduates. Isa and Jessica earned scholarships that will fully fund the first four years of their college education at University of Utah.

"I'm very happy with the opportunity Bright Futures gave me. Without that, I wouldn't...be here now," Isa shared.

“I learned about Bright Futures, and I liked what they were doing. Once I was old enough, I joined, because I wanted to put myself in a position to succeed," Jessica said.

Bright Futures, one of PCEF's 8 Signature Initiatives, makes a minimum 7-year commitment to Park City's first-generation students. Bright Futures changes lives by walking alongside motivated first-gen students as they work to get to and through college. BF provides a college-readiness curriculum, individualized coaching, peer support and financial assistance from 10th grade all the way through college graduation.

The initiative is growing every year, boasting an 83% progression rate toward graduation (compared to 11% nationwide for first-gen students)!

 'Build the Foundation' campaign! ❤️

You did it again! Thank you for rallying behind our schools and students. You’ve helped Build the Foundation to ensure every Park City student is inspired to reach their academic and lifelong potential. Your generosity continues to fund more than 100 PCEF-supported programs across every school in the district, at a cost of $1.5 million!

Thank you UPS Stores Park City for providing $10,000 in PTO/A grant money to Build the Foundation (formerly Beat the Call).

The UPS Stores Park City Grant Winners:

1. $5,000 → McPolin Elementary School with 68% participation!
2. $3,000 → JRES at 49.6%
3. $2,000 → TSES at 45.5%
4. EHMS → 38.4%
5. PPES → 25%
6. TMJH → 23%
7. PCHS → 17.5%

Each PCSD school will also receive $1,500 this year as a thank you for their hard working volunteer PCEF Ambassadors.

Beyond the prize winners…The ULTIMATE champions are our children, our educators, and our schools. Investing in Park City’s future says EVERYTHING about our special community. We know there are many demands as the school year begins, and we deeply appreciate you making this important campaign a priority.

✨ Glasses and Paddles were Raised at the Red Apple Gala ✨

Park City’s favorite fall party rocked! The Red Apple Gala is PCEF's biggest fundraiser of the year, and thanks to our very generous guests, we raised over $600,000! We couldn’t have done it without our amazing sponsors and all who showed up to make a difference for our students, educators, and schools!

PCHS senior Dylan Rifkin said it best,

"All of you in this room are what make the journey I’ve described possible for the students in Park City School District. The Park City Education Foundation and all of you donors are changing the equation to help Park City kids thrive as we become independent adults."
