CAREER PATH WISDOM

LAUNCHING AN EXCITING NEW CHAPTER

Today marks the launch of our new community on Circle, and we are really excited to be bringing a broader, richer experience to our PathWise members. This new community platform brings everything we’ve had in our existing member site and much, much more:

  • Live events, including our PathWise Live and new Ask Us Anything office hours sessions
  • 10 interactive communities covering different career stages and situations, such as for New(ish) Managers and Job Seekers. These are the heart of the new platform, and they’ll give you the ability to raise questions and tap into the collective wisdom of the PathWise team and our broader member base
  • All our online courses, such as on Decision-Making, Networking, and Storytelling
  • Our full content library, which features hundreds of articles, frameworks and infographics, tools and templates, and videos
  • Summaries of almost 40 leading books on careers, leadership, management, and professional development
  • Access to our PathWisdom newsletters and "Career Sessions, Career Sessions” podcasts
  • A space for you to contribute your own content to our knowledge base
  • A mobile app, so that you can get your career guidance on the go

In addition to our free Basic membership, we will now have three paid member tiers that provide progressively greater access to more of our communities, content library, courses, live events, and coaching. As you’ll see, our paid tiers are great value.

Here’s what’s more important. We all spend thousands of hours working each year. The extent to which we feel a sense of professional satisfaction has a ripple effect into every other part of our lives. In this sense,

Investing in your continued career development

is arguably the single biggest step that you can

take to feel an overall sense of happiness and

fulfillment in your life. Don’t you want that for yourself?

You should have received an invitation link from us earlier today that will allow you sign-up the new community (which you need to do even if you are an existing member). If you didn't receive that email, here is the link again. Get into our new community now, so you can start taking control of your career today. The PathWise team and I will be actively engaging with members, moderating the communities, and hosting live events. Be an early adopter!

See you on Circle,

JR and the PathWise team

EVENTS

November 6, Beyond Connections: The Psychology of Effective Networking, presented by JR Lowry. Building your network is a professional must-do, but even the word "networking" has negative connotations for many of us. We'll cover why networking is important and share basic and advanced networking tips to get you in the game, even if you're "not a networker." Register today! Note: Our PathWise Live events will continue to be free and open to all but are now hosted through our member community, not on LinkedIn. If you are not a PathWise member, you will need to sign up using the link above to access this event.

November 7 onward, Ask Us Anything Office Hour Sessions, hosted by the PathWise team. We’re launching these sessions three times each week to cover topics of interest and answer your questions. Join the new community and for ‘live’ discussions of your questions and challenges.

BOOK SUMMARY

November Book Summary – Supercommunicators, by Charles Duhigg, presented by Daniela De Luca. Charles Duhigg, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and bestselling author, explores why some people connect effortlessly while others talk past each other. This book shows that effective communication starts with recognizing which conversation you’re in—practical (what’s this about?), emotional (how do we feel?), or social (who are we?)—and then matching your approach. Our summary highlights the simple tools to identify these cues, respond with clarity and empathy, and build stronger relationships at work and at home.
