Roll Out!

Tweens and Teens are invited to the Roll out, where they will learn the importance of bike safety and maintenance. Youth will learn the about oiling bike chains, tire repair, upkeep, and much more. The course will end with provided lunch and a ride out to downtown Redwood City for some Boba!

Celebrating Redwood City's Racial Equity Mural

Join in for a celebration of Redwood City’s “Visions of Equity” mural, a public artwork depicting moments from our community's history as well as our shared hopes and dreams for the future. From public workshops and hands-on art activities to walking tours and a documentary film screening, there will be many opportunities to engage with the mural’s artwork, themes, and vision for a more equitable world.

Redwood City Parks, Recreation & Community Services invites High School students to apply for our After School Sports Youth Referee Training Program for Flag Football, Volleyball, & Basketball.

Brave Space Groundwork Workshop

Girls Leadership invites you to join the Brave Space Groundwork workshop online on Wednesday, September 20th, at no cost, made possible by Electronic Arts.


In this professional development workshop, you'll discuss how to create brave spaces and center the social-emotional needs of students. This Brave Space Groundwork workshop is for educators, administrators, school counselors, CBO staff, after-school staff, and other youth-serving professionals. Participants will: 

  • define “brave space” while gathering best practices on how to create a brave space in their classrooms
  • experience and use practices, lessons, and activities that cultivate a brave space for youth
  • identify how brave spaces foster community and accountability, and how to mitigate harm
  • receive four lessons they can implement right away to nurture authentic partnerships and centering racial and gender equity into practice.

This skill based training will teach you to understand mental health and substance use challenges people face. You can expect to cover topics like common mental health signs and symptoms, suicide warning signs, self care, and important cultural considerations.

Language Access Survey

The City of Redwood City is committed to building greater language access for all our community members. We want to create a future where everyone can be involved in our programs and resources.


To accomplish this, we need YOUR help! Consider filling out our Language Needs Survey and sharing your experience with navigating our programs and resources.

The Survey is available until September 30th. You can pick-up a paper copy at the Redwood City Public Libraries, the Redwood City Community Centers, and at City Hall.
