John Miller MD, has been a dedicated Pediatrician and Neonatologist in Southern California for the past forty-five years, caring for and healing thousands of children and responding to the questions of at least that many parents.

He is on a mission to make hospital stays for kids less intimidating and to help them fill the time with great reads. To that end, Dr. John is also a writer of fantasy novels for middle grades and young adults, and he has formed a non-profit , Keep Our Kids Reading, to provide free copies of his books to hospitalized children and their adults throughout the country. It is his hope that these books will, even for a short time, provide children and their parents with a respite from the fear, boredom, and stress of hospital stays. He will discuss his childhood experience with cancer and prolonged hospital stay, mission and fantasy novels for children.
