Homecoming Dance

All high school students are invited to the Homecoming Dance, which has been rescheduled to Saturday, November 2nd. The dance will be held in the canteen from 7:00-10:00. There is no cost, but students are encouraged to sign up using the link below.

Don't forget to fill out and sign a guest permission form if your student is bringing a date that does not attend Wardlaw.

Basketball Team Pictures

Basketball pictures will be taken on Wednesday, November 6th at 3 PM. Order online at Strawbridge using the order code FM459014.

Veterans Day Program

The Lower School will put on a Veterans Day Program on Monday, November 11th at 8:10. If you would like your veteran honored in the slide show, make sure to email submissions to Stevie Chapman at schapman@wardlawacademy.com. Please make sure to include their full name, branch of service and rank.

Blood Drive

Shepeard Community Blood Center will be on campus for blood donations on Wednesday, November 13th. Please call the front office at 803-275-4794 to reserve a time to donate!

A light breakfast will be provided for early donors. Students who donate 3 times in one year (or have someone donate on their behalf) are eligible to receive red honor cords at graduation.

Thanksgiving Break

We will be out of school November 25th-29th. School will resume on Monday, December 2nd.

Instructional

Updates

Our teachers participated in a schoolwide professional development session this week to enhance understanding of our Q2 focus: Writing & Research. Throughout the year our students will be integrating writing and research assignments in all subject areas to continuously develop this skill. We are looking forward to seeing their growth and progression. 

Athletic Updates

The Varsity girls ended the season as SCISA 1A State Runner-Ups. We are so incredibly proud of you, Lady Patriots!

Congratulations to Coach Lauren Givens for being named region Coach of the Year. We would also like to congratulate Layne Kelley, Taylor Hill, McKenna Quarles and Rese Pruett for being selected for the All-Region team.

McKenna, Taylor and Rese will be playing in the SCISA Volleyball All-Star game this Saturday.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

FCA will meet for a devotion on Sunday, November 3rd. Matt Steelman will be speaking and pizza will be served.

Don't forget, any student who attends EIGHT FCA events will receive a FREE FCA t-shirt!

As Wardlaw strives for excellence in education and continues to thrive, Advancement is undertaking this capital campaign to fund special projects for several facility upgrades important for current and future operations of the school. Help earn money for Wardlaw all summer long with the SRP School Affinity Card! Every time you use your Wardlaw Academy debit card, money is donated directly to the school.
