Volunteers Needed to join the Nominating Committee!

It’s that time of year when we begin planning for next year’s PTSA board. We are seeking dedicated volunteers to help form the nominating committee, which will be responsible for selecting candidates for next year’s board positions. The election for open board positions will be held at the General Association Meeting in March, based on the nominations provided by this committee.

Step 1: Forming the Nominating Committee

The nominating committee will play a key role in recruiting candidates for open positions on next year’s board. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Who can join?
  • PTSA members who have been members for at least 30 days and who did not serve on the nominating committee last year.
  • Structure:
  • Three members and one alternate.
  • Time commitment:
  • Less than 5 hours over the next 45 days, including a couple of meetings.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Recruiting candidates via word of mouth and newsletter advertisements, and selecting the best candidates to serve as officers.

Why Join?

This is a wonderful opportunity to make an impact and ensure the PTSA continues to support our community effectively. The last date for nomination is Thursday, January 30 at 12 p.m.
