PTA Founders Day: Honoring Outstanding Volunteers and Leaders
On Friday, February 28th, the Pleasanton PTA Council brought together our community to celebrate 128 years of advocacy for children and families.
This special event was a wonderful celebration that recognized the dedication and accomplishments of our incredible volunteers, community members, and educators who make a lasting impact on Pleasanton schools.
The keynote speaker featured Jill Buck, M.S., Ed., founder and CEO of the Go Green Initiative. This year, the Pleasanton PTA Council is celebrating 22 years, and among her many lifetime achievements, Jill Buck is also the founding president of the Pleasanton PTA Council.
A highlight of the afternoon was honoring our Vice Principal, Tessie Gonsalves, as a 2025 Outstanding Administrator Award recipient. Her unwavering commitment to student success, leadership, and community engagement inspires and uplifts those around her.
We were also proud to recognize several of our Harvest Park PTSA board members for their outstanding service:
- Mia Maksumova, President – 15 years
- Colleen Gore, PPIE Chair - 10 years
- Susanne Frey, Financial Secretary – 10 years
- Zaya Bowen-Kuykendall, Executive VP – 5 years
We are incredibly grateful for their dedication and unwavering commitment to making a profound impact on our students, schools, and the PUSD community.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this event such a success and to all who continue to support our mission of advocacy and service!
