Paul Schexnayder Releases New Children's Book
NEW IBERIA, La. --- Artist and Iberia Parish Talent (Visual Arts) teacher, Paul Schexnayder has written and illustrated his third children’s book, In the Time of Mission and Might. The University of Louisiana Lafayette Press is the publisher.

In the Time of Mission and Might, is an adventurous tale of Professor Flynn, a fearless squirrel archaeologist. Join him in his mission to save nine special acorns from danger.

The third volume in a three part series, In the Time of Mission and Might returns to the imaginary world of 2017’s In the Time of Joy and Wonder, providing key details fans of the first and second volume will not want to miss.

There will be a book signing on Dec. 7 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., at Paul Schexnayder Studio + Gallery in New Iberia (335 W. Saint Peter St.) during the Iberia Chamber's Very Berry Christmas Quest event. The Quest has a fee to participate, but the studio's activities will also be free for those not doing the quest. There will also be a signing on Dec. 14 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., at Books Along the Teche in New Iberia (106 E. Main St.).

Schexnayder has been a professional artist for more than 30 years. He has been the official artist of many state festivals including the Louisiana Francofete celebration, Festival International, the Crawfish Festival and the Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival. Paul runs his studio and gallery in his hometown of New Iberia.
