Keeping the water clear doesn’t require a degree in biochemistry. All you need is a bottle or two of Aquascape’s blend of microbial solutions that can be added manually or with an automatic dosing system that is easy to operate.

Keeping your pond balanced can require a little restraint, however. Ponds with too many fish or fish being overfed usually lead to cloudy water or algae blooms that can be challenging to manage. In nature, Koi and Goldfish will eat algae as a regular source of nourishment and will help maintain a clean pond if not overfed with pellets or flakes. Not only does overfeeding keep the fish from eating more algae, but the uneaten food and extra waste that drops to the bottom will fuel further algae blooms.
