All storm sewer and water main installation on the O Avenue NW project is complete. Old pavement is being removed and the roadway base is being prepared for new pavement on O Avenue to the west project limit. This should be complete early next week. Roadway base preparation on the side streets will begin after O Avenue is ready for new pavement.

The forecasted rainy weather has delayed paving operations which will begin this week as weather conditions permit. The south half of O Avenue will be placed first, followed by the north half. We expect to have O Avenue NW pavement placed by mid-May. New pavement has already been placed on 30th Street north of O Avenue and on Blanche Drive south of O Avenue. Paving on the other side streets will begin soon. When paving is complete, the street will be available for access to project area residents, but will remain closed to through traffic until work in the shoulder areas nears completion.

Looking ahead: sidewalk and driveway construction, retaining wall construction, and finished grading and installation of signs and mailboxes will extend into July.  Sodding of disturbed areas will occur early fall because of temperature restrictions for this activity.

As always, if you have questions or concerns about the project, please do not hesitate to contact a member of our project team.
