Storm sewer work is progressing along Houston Street and the intersection at 35th Street is open again. This work, along with restoration, is anticipated to continue for at least one more week.
Weather pending, preparation for pavement placement will continue in Miami Court early next week with pavement placement tentatively scheduled to begin late next week.
Improvements are scheduled to begin on Oakland Road, weather depending, on either Tuesday, May 10th or Wednesday, May 11th. At that time, Oakland Road will be closed to thru traffic from Miami Court to Golf Street. Access will be maintained for residents; temporary driveway closures may occur as crews install utilities directly in front of your property.
Traffic Impacts
- Oakland Road will be closed to thru traffic for the duration of the project, with the closure area moving from south to north as construction progresses
- Residents may utilize Oakland Road to get to their homes, but traffic traveling through should detour via 42nd Street at the north end, or via 32nd Street at the south end
