Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin next week (weather pending) on the Center Point Road project. We wanted to take a moment and let you know what to anticipate.

Where work is taking place: This year, work will take place between 29th St and 32nd St, primarily within the intersection of Center Point Road and 32nd Street.

Traffic impacts to anticipate first: Starting Monday, work will begin at the intersection of Center Point Rd and 32nd Street. Motorists should anticipate temporary right-turn lane closures for traffic on Center Point Rd seeking to turn onto 32nd Street. Each turn lane closure should last approximately one day.

Also starting next week, the contractor will be televising underground lines between 29th St and 32nd St. Center Point Rd may have intermittent lane reductions in this area while work is taking place, please watch for flaggers and reduce your speeds.

Starting Monday, April 1
Center Point Road will be closed between 32nd St and 29th St as crews work on replacing the sanitary manholes. The closure is necessary for safety reasons.

They will start at 29th Street and work their way to 32nd Street.

Business access will remain open; the contractor will work to communicate with businesses whether access will be available via 29th St or via 32nd St. Please call us if you have any questions about the best way to access your business during this time.

Once all the manholes have been replaced in this section, the contractor will be able to open one travel lane.

Project summary: The full project will replace the intersection at 32nd Street, including right and left turn lanes in all directions, and add new ADA traffic signals with pedestrian push-buttons. Storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water main improvements are also included.

We recognize the importance of business access during this project, and will work to keep access open over the summer. Please call a member of our construction team if you have any questions.

We'll continue to send you updates on what to anticipate as the project moves along.
