We wanted to give you an update on the project as well as information on a changing traffic pattern.
Beginning Thursday, October 8, O Avenue will be closed between Koehler Drive and 20th Street NW. Access will remain open only to property owners and for emergency service vehicles. If you are entering or exiting the worksite, please follow a westbound traffic pattern so crews can complete pavement construction.
- Enter the project area from the Ellis Blvd side
- Exit the project area from the 20th Street side
As this pavement work is underway, crews will also be working on O Avenue between 20th Street and 24th Street, to install new water services and storm sewer. A single travel lane will be maintained at all times where work is occurring; drivers will need to yield to oncoming traffic. Two-way traffic will be maintained when possible. Please exercise extreme caution to avoid conflict with workers and equipment.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the project superintendent for Rathje Construction Co., Mr. Dave Weston at (319) 521-1467.
